Function
Ingenol is a kind of terpenoid active ingredient derived from Euphorbia euphorbia, kansui or Stephanotis. The HPLC-ELSD method is used to determine the content of ingenol, which can be used as a quality control method for kansui decoction pieces.
Ingenol can also be used as a key intermediate for the synthesis of ingenol methacrylate (Ingenol 3-Angelate; Ingenol Mebutate).
