Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate is a chemical sunscreen agent that is for high UVA protection and high photostability. It gives sun protection in the whole UVA range (320-400 nm) with peak protection at 354nm.

UV absorber DHHB' s function played in sunscreen products include:
(1) With high absorption effect on UVA
(2) With strong protective effect for free radical produced by UV.
(3) Enhance the SPF value of UVB sunscreen
(4) With very good light stability, maintain effectiveness for long time
UV Absorber DHHB defilade of UV range covered the whole UVA, from 320 to 400 nm wavelength, the maximum absorption peak is at 354 nm. So for the shielding, UV Absorber DHHB has the same effect as the current best sunscreen Avobenzone. However, UV Absorber DHHB's stability in the sun is much better than Avobenzone, because Avobenzone's ability to absorb ultraviolet radiation will quickly reduce in the sun. Therefore in the formula you need to add other UV absorber as a light stabilizer, in order to reduce the loss of Avobenzone. And it is not necessary to worry about this problem when using UV Absorber DHHB.
UV Absorber DHHB instead of Avobenzone, become a model UVA sunscreen agent, with better light stability than Avobenzone, do not need to add MBC, OMC compound, lower cost, better effect.
