Dimethyl-methoxy chromano is a similar to the synthesis of vitamin E, called lipochroman-6. According to Lipotec SA, this is a kind of analogues for the synthesis of tocopherol, which has great potential as a free radical scavenger and antioxidant. It is said that 0.05% of lipochroman-6 is 20 times stronger than its parent compound g-tocopherol, and 1000 times more effective in inhibiting lipid peroxidation than a-tocopherol.
